2015 Summer Class details!

  • Classes are for grade 2 through entering grade 8

  • Classes run 9 - 3:00 and can be registered for and attended on a daily or weekly basis.

  • Pre-registration and payment is required for all classes. Drop-in at the door is not an option.

  • The enrollment is limited to allow maximum positive experience for each student.

June 29 –July 3: Ready for summer! We will spend this week preparing for a summer of art making – beginning with making our own sketchbooks and being introduced to different ways that artists use their sketchbooks for inspiration. We’ll work with lots of different tools – pencils, brushes, fingers and more! We will spend Thursday and Friday getting ready for the 4th!

July 6 – 10: Seascapes, Lighthouses & Forts!

Maine favorites can’t be denied in a summer of art making. We will use watercolor and acrylics, pencil, pastels, clay and plaster and a whole lot of special elements to make memories come alive in drawing, paintings and sculptures.

July 20 – 24: Paint in many ways!

We will break out all kinds of art making goodies – for 2D and 3D projects galore with paint as a vital ingredient. We will focus on using materials to make paintings, sculptures and crafts. We’ll work with different tools to make works of decorative and useful art!

July 27 - 31: Maine Arts & Crafts!

We will break out all kinds of goodies – for 2D and 3D craft projects galore. Our focus will be on practical and decorative crafts – for decorating and wearing. Weaving, design, candle making, beads, tie dye and more!

August 3 – 7: Animal Art!

We will break out all kinds of art making goodies – for 3D projects galore. We will focus on Maine’s favorite animal using different materials to make sculptures that move!

August 10 - 14: Art & Crafts Galore!

We will break out all kinds of art making goodies – for 2D and 3D projects galore. We will focus on using different materials to make special crafties. Each day will start with opening a box full of possibilities and we will work from there!
