Our classes are specially designed to help youth learn about Maine in fun, informative, hands-on ways. The learning comes through the doing – making paintings, sculptures and crafts that focus on learning about this beautiful state. Inspiration for our work comes from all around us as we use a variety of materials to make works that reflect the natural beauty and excitement of Maine. Our inspiration is Maine – landscape, wildlife, flora, artists and values. We look at famous artists’ works and make our own. Students meet others who enjoy the arts as we work, socialize and spend time outdoors together. We stay busy concentrating on making paintings, sculptures and crafts. Each day includes stories, songs, games and outdoor play. Bring nutritious snacks, and a smock! Learn something new or immerse yourself in a favorite art form. Our Freeport location is a pleasant spot close to natural delights as well as near the buzz of restaurants and shopping.
