Pre-School: !

bullet

School age: (First grade to eighth – after school to parent pick up 5:30; Take school bus to closest stop)

Pre-registration and payment is required for all classes. Drop-in at the door is not an option.
The enrollment is limited to allow maximum positive experience for each student. We are in a convenient downtown Freeport location. Let your child have fun while you shop!

Our classes are specially designed to help youth learn about Maine in fun, informative, hands-on ways. The learning comes through the doing – making paintings, sculptures and crafts that focus on learning about this beautiful state. Inspiration for our work comes from all around us as we use a variety of materials to make works that reflect the natural beauty and excitement of Maine. Our inspiration is Maine – landscape, wildlife, flora, artists and values. We look at famous artists’ works and make our own. Students meet others who enjoy the arts as we work, socialize and spend time outdoors together. We stay busy concentrating on making paintings, sculptures and crafts. Each day includes stories, songs, games and outdoor play. Bring nutritious snacks, and a smock!

Our Philosophy:… instill a love of art… encourage creativity within developmental readiness… allow time for experimentation and elaboration… increase experience and skill level in using art materials … provide studio environment with room for laughter, concentration and artistic fellowship… encourage involvement in art for life
